Receiving Vault used in the days when graves were dug by hand.
I find this grave site particularly interesting. I wonder how often the family comes to visit.
Stray headstone that ended up against the tree.
Look closely. Yes, there are graves/headstones behind those trees/bushes. For more information and a partial list of burials click http://www.interment.net/data/us/pa/philadelphia/greenwood_pythias/

Thanks for posting pictures of the Knights of Pythias Greenwood Cemetery. I'm a member of a group called Friends of Greenwood Cemetery. We're trying to clean up/restore the cemetery, and yes, that includes the large wooded area where many people are buried (including several of my ancestors). We're in possession of virtually all of the burial records for this cemetery, so if you or anyone else is interested in looking up a burial, please e-mail me at mreiser4670@gmail.com.
Thanks,
Mike Reiser
