Sad Tale of Two Frank Maier's
Frank Maier was born on November 11, 1913 son of Frank C and Mary A Heese Maier. Frank contracted pneumonia on December 13, 1913. Frank was interred at Holy Cross Cemetery on December 5, 1913. He was just over a month old.
Frank Maier II was still born on March 25, 1920. He was the son of Frank and Mary Heese Maier and named after his brother who died in 1913. Frank Maier II was interred at Glenwood Cemetery March 26, 1920.

SCHROEDER, mother of Albert F., Charles of Philadelphia, John E., Anna HUTTER, Edward F.; also survived by 3 daughters-in-law, 15 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 1 brother, 1 sister, nephews and nieces. Services Wednesday Apr. 26 at 2 p.m. at the Lutheran Trinity church, corner of N. 9th and W. Highland Av. Interment Graceland. In state at the Froemming-Boecher Funeral Home, corner E. North Av. and N. 1st St., from 11a.m. Tuesday until 11 a.m. Wednesday and at the church from 12 noon until time of services.

Carl And Anna Marie (Heese) Schroeder
Also spelled as Schrieder and Schroeter.
Born Carl Friedrich Schrieder on August 3rd, 1855 in Dorf Puz, Kreis Berendt, Prussia, he immigrated to America at the age of 25 years old in 1880. He first settled in Manistee, Michigan. But after marrying his wife, Anna Marie Heese on April 22nd, 1883 at Evangelical Lutheran Trinity Church by Reverend Hermann Lemke, they relocated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Carl was the son of Gottlieb and Lenora Schrieder. It is believed his father (Gottlieb) was a farmer who shredded wheat.
His wife Anna Marie Heese was born on February 2nd, 1864 in Zempelburg, Preussen and at the age of 11 years old immigrated first to Chicago, Illinois then to Valpariso, Indiana and finally to Manistee, Michigan.
Carl and Anna had six children, five living. There names were Charles (direct descendant), John, Anna, Edward, Albert and Arthur. Arthur died five days after his birth on August 13th, 1901.
