Merciful is not about forgiveness. It is about identification with another human being. It means rising above our own thoughts and feelings in order to "see the world" through the eyes of another. We are forgiven as we forgive others.
Blessed are the merciful for they will receive mercy. (5th Beatitude) As far as I am concerned the Beatitudes are the landscapes of working through everyday life.

Because I Am Truly Grateful
I wanted to share this note left to me this morning from my second daughter-in-law who lives here in my house with my son and baby granddaughter. I was so touched by this note that I wanted to share it on both my websites/blogs because it says a lot to me. Sometimes, we get so overwhelmed with the chaos of every day life that we forget about what is truly important and that is family.
Sometimes our lives take so many twists and turns that we forget what is the true definition of being a member in that unit called a family.
Everyday I try to be the best person I can be and that includes being a mother. Many times throughout the years I questioned my mothering skills and several times throughout the years I felt as though I just straight out and failed in the motherhood category. So to get messages like this one really touches my heart and makes me feel that all I do and all I am is good enough and that maybe just maybe I need to stop second guessing my decisions and motives and everything else.
Hey lady!
I just wanted to take a minute to thank you for all you have done for me, Ava, Joe. I’m sure having us move into your big new house right after you got married was not what you had in mind. I really appreciate the opportunity you gave us to save money and be in one place together, but most of all for your help with Ava. Saying you have a lot on your plate would be an understatement. It is really great to see someone who cares so much about their family and the people around them. It reminds me what is important in life. Even though you are tired both physically and emotionally you always have time for your family. On top of everything you are doing so well in school. As I approach my return to school I have a feeling of determination. I have that feel because of you. I know I will be very busy once it starts but I have a good example right in front of me. While I have a close relationship with my own mother, I want you to know that I consider you a second mom. You have done for me what you have done for your own children – offered support, listened, gave advice, helped out of tight situations. I hope one day I can somehow pay you back. I know you feel overwhelmed sometimes but that is only natural. I know I’ve said this before but I want to say it again – If there is a time when I ask you to do something (usually with Ava) and you want to say no – please say it. I don’t want you to feel obligated to say yes just because I asked. I also want to tell you that I make a conscious effort not to take advantage of you being in the same house as us. I think about what else you have going on in your life before I ask. The last thing I would want you to feel is taken advantage of. And if there is something else I can do to make things a little easier for you please tell me. I try to help out but sometimes I’m not sure what to do. Which is why I stick to making dinner and doing dishes. Well I hope you have a nice rest of the day!!
Love you.

My Journey. My Opinion. My Site.
My Journey
Every morning I go into the closet and get a pair of shoes. I place the shoes on my feet then I walk the walk known as my life, therefore my journey. Funny thing about shoes, they come in all sizes because one size does not fit all. If the shoes do not fit, how can one walk in them? If one cannot walk the walk in someone's shoes, then how would one walk their journey?
My Opinion
Opinions are not right or wrong because they are just that "Opinions". Everyone is entitled to their own thoughts and feelings. Feelings are valid whether they are right or wrong.
My Site
Did you notice the "My" in the title? It does not say "Our" or "We" therefore if there is something on this site that stirs up a different opinion than the one stated? Well? There are choices. Sometimes one must "think" before one "speaks" and if one "thinks" then "speaks" perhaps one needs to take a closer look at "their" side of the street. Choice. A powerful word. My choice is to state my opinion about my journey because it is my site. What a concept! No one is forced to read this site. It is a choice. So let me express one more opinion because it is my journey on my site. If one feels it necessary to enter this site to gain knowledge as to report, complain, bitch, whatever, one might think about cleaning their side of the street before one speaks. My Opinion about my journey on my site will not be silenced.

Iphone Shots
Waiting for Bill in the morning this past week.
Making some minor improvements. Removed three sections of the sectional to down size the existing sofa. The plan is to purchase new carpets and sofa. The fish, lizards and bird still hang on the walls probably until we fill those walls with Bill's artwork.
Getting ready for Saturday night dinner.
Candles add a new touch.
The menu consists of homemade lobster ravioli in a vodka, spinach and roasted pepper sauce.
Added a Cesar salad, glass of wine for me and a Murphy's stout for Bill.
Bill prepares his homemade roasted peppers. Yum!
