Ship Manifest Record Of John McCaffery

The following information was taken directly from the passenger list of the ship called "Columbia" which I personally viewed tonight. This manifest is part of the immigration records located at Ellis Island.

John McCafferty was 22 years old, a labourer with brown hair, grey eyes and fair skin. He was 5 "9", could read and write, was in good physical condition and had a scar on his nose.

He was from Donegal and immigrated to America "via" from the Port of Londonderry on the ship called "Columbia". Port of Arrival was Ellis Island in New York City. Date of arrival was May 27, 1907 and destination listed was 104 Dawson Street, Philadelphia Pa. (Manayunk) the home of his brother Colum McCafferty.
