Is Philadelphia the eighth most corrupt city

In the United States? A new study from researchers at the University of Illinois at Chicago and the Institute of Government and Public Affairs thinks so. But like so many finger-pointing “corruption” allegations, it’s complicated. The researchers based their study on public corruption convictions between 1976 and 2010. In that corruption model, Philly came in eighth place with 852 public corruption convictions. And as we all know, the best forms of corruption are the ones the corruptors get away with. Either way, number one on the list: Chicago. 1,531 convictions.
