History in the Making

Before its gone, I wanted to photograph the warehouse used for my family's business. The city has purchased the property so it can be torn down to expand the highway known on the east coast as I-95. The property is located on Tacony street in the Bridesburg/Tacony section of Philadelphia. This building is part of our family's history as the warehouse held the company's products and the two apartments attached to the warehouse were once home to my brother Artie, my uncle Gene and my parents when they traveled back and forth from their home in the North Jersey shore area to work in the city. Once it is torn down to make way for the expansion of I-95, we will only have photographs left.
